Lucky!

One more vacation post and then I promise to join real time.

Before I left town I played along with the Robert Kaufman fabric company blog hop.  They make tons of beautiful fabrics, and they also make Kona solids.  To announce their new book and their new colors of solid fabrics they hosted the hop.

Every couple of days you’d visit the blog of one of the pattern designers who contributed to the book.  Each designer had a little contest of sorts and the winner got a copy of the book and a fat quarter stack of the new colors.  They also listed their favorite new color.  At the end of the hop people could submit the names of all the designers and their favorite color to win the book and 100 fat quarters of their solids.  Well I did pretty well following the blogs, submitting my comments and writing down the favorite colors.  I totally failed on posting the final list because I was traveling that day and forgot all about it.

One day in Oregon while taking a sewing break and checking e-mail I got a message that I had won a bloggers contest!  I started yelling that I had won which totally startled my quilting friend.  She had not a clue what I was so excited about.

This is what was so exciting!  I totally can’t believe I won this.

Isn’t it so pretty?  I think that stack of fabric will just be sitting in my sewing room for a while to be admired.  It might take a bit before I can bring myself to dismantle it and start using the fabrics.

Thanks Robert Kaufman fabrics!
