A Quick Finish
I sat down this past week and made the tote from the shop hop.
This year at shop hop we were given a tote bag pattern at the first shop we visited. At each shop we were given four black and white (or sometimes black and cream) 5″ squares of fabric.
The tote went together pretty easily. I did shorten the straps by a couple of inches. I also used pieces of some of the charm squares inserted into the strap fabric for a little added interest. The squares I used in the strap were supposed to be used for interior pockets – but that would never be seen. Might as well just use a piece of fabric from my stash for that.
The tote is pretty large. It still needs some velcro to hold the flap closed. A quick trip to the fabric store will take care of that.
