More Shop Hop
Our group got a little bigger for day 2 of our shop hop and we expanded into two cars.
Over the two days we drove 302.3 miles
and visited 12 quilt shops
1 chocolate factory
1 glass outlet
a pizza place
an artichoke farm stand
and a bakery
We collected lots more black and white charm squares:
And some freebies from some shops – plus the polka dot tin of pins for finishing the hop:
And I bought a few treasures too:
Not too much shopping this year. Sadly, few of the shops had demonstrations or highlighted new products so I didn’t buy much that wasn’t on my list. The white fabric with the black lines is the lining fabric for the tote bag to be made out of the charm squares collected. I’m most happy about that tan fabric. It’s to go with a kit I had bought two years ago that didn’t come with the solid needed for the embroidered squares. I’ve been hunting ever since for just the right shade of tan linen for it.
I think I’ll make the tote bag first.
See what the other quilters are doing this week here.

Sounds like you had fun and what a great idea for a shop hop. I have been disappointed in our local hops. They are crowded and no demos, no real sale. I go on odd times to different stores and find a better deals. How fun to shop with 2 car loads of friends, and candy…. may be I need to find more friends:)
Fabric and chocolate and more – sounds like a great time to me!
