Slow Poke

Posted April 23rd, 2012 by marcella and filed in quilting

Not a lot of appliqué going on around here this past week.  I got most of one block completed.

The pieces are all sewn down but the embroidery is left to do.  Poor bird needs a beak and an eye, the flowers need stems and there’s a garland that goes over top of the basket.

The goal is to finish up this block and get the next one done for next Monday’s bom rehab.

See what the more productive quilters are up to over at Judy’s blog.

Your basket blocks are so pretty. I do want to get mine completed, life is busy and I will try to remain content with what I can accomplish.

Oooh, with applique a passion I’ve only acquired in the last two years, I am so loving the looks of this one!

You got a lot done getting the applique completed. The great thing about this is that as each element of embroidery is added, it’ll bring the block alive and you’ll get more and more excited to see this one through.

It takes me for-ever to get applique done… but a little progress is better than no progress. Your block is adorable. Aren’t you excited to see it coming together?!!

Gorgeous and how can you get that all done this week? It would take me a year to do that many stitches by hand. It is so pretty
